Effective 1 September 2026
Terms of service
These terms apply when you create an account, purchase access, create a recipe book, or contribute a recipe. Potluck is an early-stage service, so features may change as the product develops.
Using Potluck
You must provide accurate account information, keep access to your account and private links secure, and use the service lawfully. Book owners are responsible for choosing whom to invite and for having any consent needed to preserve and share a contributor’s content.
Your content
You and your contributors keep ownership of recipes and other content submitted to Potluck. You grant Potluck a limited licence to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and support the service. Contributors should submit only recipes and notes they have the right to share.
Private contribution links
Anyone with an active link may be able to contribute to its book. The owner can replace or disable the link. Potluck may rate-limit or block submissions to protect the service and its users.
Food safety
Recipes are provided by users and are not reviewed by Potluck. Owners and cooks remain responsible for allergens, dietary suitability, safe food handling, cooking temperatures, storage, and deciding whether a recipe is appropriate for them.
Acceptable use
Do not submit unlawful, abusive, infringing, deceptive, or malicious content; impersonate another person; attempt to access someone else’s private book; interfere with the service; or use automated methods to overload or extract data from it.
Payments
Prices and included features are shown before checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. Unless stated otherwise, digital access is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription. A future printed book will be a separate optional purchase under the price and delivery terms shown at that time.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep Potluck available and protect its data, but software may contain errors or experience interruptions. We may update, add, remove, or limit features and will try to give reasonable notice of material changes affecting paid access.
Disclaimers and liability
Potluck is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Nothing excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. Otherwise, total liability relating to the service will not exceed the amount paid for Potluck in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Ending use
You may stop using Potluck at any time and can export stored data or delete recipes, books, or the account in Settings. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, investigate misuse, or prevent harm.
